Broken Hearts Gallery Literary

We’ve all been there. Somewhere along your path in life someone or something has broken your heart, and maybe like me, you’ve held onto the detritus left in its wake. If so, this is the literary project for you.

General Submission Guidelines:

General submissions for June will be open through June 30th, and will be accepted via Google Form during open reading periods, one submission per person per reading period.

Include:

1.) Complete the Google form, and submit one photo (jpg or png) of an object that represents your broken heart — this should be an item that you currently have in your possession, though the heart break doesn’t have to be current. Submit up to 50 words of prose or poetry (creative nonfiction). Selected pieces will receive a notification and will be featured on Instagram by @brokenheartsliterary.

2.) Your name/preferred pronouns as you would like to be listed on the post.

3.) Social media handles so you can be tagged in the post.

4.) A one-sentence bio.

5.) Confirmation that your piece is unpublished and original, that you have the rights to the imagery and that AI was not used to generate content.

Themed Submission Guidelines:

Themed submissions will be open every month from the 16th to the last day of the month, and will be accepted via Google Form during open reading periods, one submission per person per reading period.

This is a non-paying market and as this is a new literary venture, the frequency of posts and reading periods is still being determined. We accept unpublished, original content only. No AI generation or previously published pieces.
