Counselor leaves legacy with 27 years at SBHS

Last week I had the chance to talk with Jim Caffiero and some of his former students as he prepares to retire from life as a high school counselor at San Benito High School after 27 years on the job. He’s known as Mr. C around campus and many students credit him with helping them find their path in life. As someone who has benefited from mentors who helped me see my own potential, while in school and when I started out as a journalist, it was inspiring to hear his story.
